His ICT career began in 1990 at IBM Switzerland with the focus on analysis and development of applications for the automation of business processes.
His work is dedicated to the practical use of ICT resources to improve business processes since that date.
During his education in economic computer science and his tenure at the American software vendor SAS, Michael Grüebler specialized on the technological aspects of strategic decision support. He has successfully designed data solutions for a large number of international and Swiss companies.
As head of Services at the Statistical Office of the City of Zurich, he's now responsible for Open Data Zurich, the statistical Infodesk as well as for the ICT infrastructure and web communication.
